Artservice coordinates rural and community touring schemes in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire on behalf of the local authorities in each County. We programme live professional touring across all the performing arts to voluntary promoting groups who host shows in their village halls, community centres, schools, churches, miners welfare centres - wherever the community meets. Each rural touring scheme is separately managed and is funded by all the difering local authorities and by Arts Council England, East Midlands in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire / Rutland; and by Arts Council England, West Midlands in Worcestershire.

The schemes are widely recognised as among the most successful in the country, and have been used as models for many other schemes around the country.
